Building and Remodeling	Are you considering building, renovating or adding to your residence or business in Gays Mills? Check the Gays Mills T-13 Zoning Ordinance for information about setbacks, permits, floodplain development, and more.
Open Burning	The burning of trash, leaves, and most yard refuse is prohibited by State and Local Law. Some burning is exempt from those regulations. To learn more about burning requirements within the Village limits, please read the Village’s T-05 Public Safety Ordinance.
Dog Licensing	Dogs over 6 months of age living within the Village limits must have a dog license. Dog licenses can be obtained at the Clerk’s Office during January. After January 31st dog licenses can be obtained at the Crawford County Clerk’s Office in Prairie du Chien.
Vending	A vending permit is required to sell goods or services in the short term within the Village of Gays Mills. The Vending Permit application and ordinance are available at the Clerk’s Office. A copy of the Form S-240 Part C is available here: Vending Permit Application.
Complaints	If residents of the village have concerns that they would like to be reviewed the village office must receive a signed complaint before authorized officials take action (per Title 1 Chapter 2 Section 1).
