This corn crib was built without the use of nails by Henry Altenburg in 1890 in Bush Hollow near Wauzeka. His daughter, Helena, married Fred Zweifel and they and their nine children farmed the original Altenburg homestead. For a while, it was called Goose Hollow because they raised so many geese and shipped them to Chicago markets.

The corn crib was donated by Herman and Marie Zweifel. Herman delivered it completely intact.
