WALK, BIKE or CANOE* Along the Beautiful Kickapoo
Sept. 15, 2007, 10 am at Lions Park in Gays Mills

(in conjuction with the Driftless Area Arts Festival in Soldiers Grove
and the Crawford County Celebrates weekend of activities)

Gays Mills Silent Sport Event

    Enjoy a family walk or bike ride along the Kickapoo River, or combine that with a canoe trip down the river during the weekend of the Driftless Area Art Festival in Soldiers Grove. Three trips to choose from – Beginner, Intermediate & Experienced.

Register at 9:30 am at Lions Park in Gays Mills -- The WALK & BIKE RIDE are FREE

Beginner Route

A smooth 4.8 mile round trip walk or bike ride along West River Road to Sand Hill Road and back again to Lion’s Park. Perfect for beginning riders or families with younger children.



Intermediate Route

A rolling 7.5 mile round trip bike ride along West Point Road to River Road and back again to Lion’s Park. The bike ride can be combined with a Canoe Ride* from the bridge at Cty B back to Lion’s Park. This canoe ride will take about one to two hours depending upon how hard you paddle.
($15 for Canoe*)



Experienced Route
A rolling 19 mile round trip bike ride along West Point Rd and River Road to Anderson Park in Soldiers Grove and back again to Lion’s Park. The bike ride can be combined with a Canoe Ride* from Anderson Park to Lion’s Park. This canoe ride will take 2.5 to 4.5 hours depending upon how hard you paddle.
($30 for Canoe*)
